Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Major Deals ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: if you subscribe, we store the email address you give us, so we can send you deal alerts.
- Usage data: basic, mostly anonymous analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser) to understand what's useful and improve the site.
- Cookies: essential cookies to run the site, optional analytics cookies, and affiliate-tracking cookies set by our partner networks when you click a deal (see below).
We do not collect payment details, we do not sell your data, and we only ask for an email if you choose to subscribe.
Affiliate links
Many links are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer's affiliate network (for example Awin) may set a cookie so any resulting purchase is credited to us and we earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That tracking is handled by the network and the retailer under their own privacy policies.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- Consent — for the newsletter and optional analytics cookies (you can withdraw anytime).
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve the site and measure referrals.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that make the site work: our email provider (to send the newsletter), our analytics provider, and the affiliate networks that track referrals. We never sell your data.
Retention
We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe, after which it's removed. Analytics data is kept only as long as needed to be useful.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent (including unsubscribing via the link in any email). To exercise any of these, email hello@majordeals.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
